Aramex.jpgTo support growth, global transportation company Aramex needed to increase capacity at its data centers worldwide, enhancing enterprise efficiency and delivering better services to end users. Aramex virtualized its Dell PowerEdge* blade servers, based on Intel® Xeon® processor 5550, with VMware and Dell EqualLogic* storage. It chose Dell ProSupport* to help maximize performance.

Aramex was able to consolidate its server environment by around 50 percent and reduce energy use by approximately 40 percent. Employees can access files approximately 30 percent quicker. And the IT team saves up to 13 hours a month on storage management.

“We lowered energy consumption by approximately 40 percent with Dell,” explained Samer Awajan, chief technology officer for Aramex. “The servers’ Intel® technology has played a key role in minimizing power consumption.”
