Beware of Posting Vacation Plans on Social Media Sites

Watch this short funny video showing the dangers of posting Too Much Information (TMI) on social media sites, as bad-guys are using such sites as ways to identify potential victims. Letting the world know when you will be away from your home for an extended period of time, is just asking for trouble. Even worse, to combine your latest purchase announcements and reviews (TV’s, computers, firearms, etc.) with a vacation notice, you will place an instant target on your home. Thieves will have a shopping list of what to target and will know when your house is unattended. Bad guys use technology too!  Sometimes better than we think.
