itc_cs_donders_xeon_library_preview.jpgTo both meet the high demand for data processing and stay on its tight budget, the Netherlands’ Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging hoped to create a scalable high-performance computing (HPC) environment. Instead of taking the traditional route—deploying racks of servers to provide the environment’s computing power—Donders looked for a more cost-effective alternative. It chose Dell Precision* T3500 workstations with Intel® Xeon® processors 5600 series.

“We can easily provide researchers with the computing performance they need to continue their pioneering work, thanks to the scalability of the Dell [and Intel] solution,” explained Erik van den Boogert, head of the Technical Group at Donders Centre for Cognitive Neuroimaging.
