Lights, Camera, and Action at Oracle OpenWorld

Oracle OpenWorld is like a big party – all your friends and colleagues from other companies are there, and it’s a great time to catch up and share stories. This time around, we took a camera and filmed some of our conversations and discussions.

I even got on camera to introduce our overview of Big Data news at Oracle OpenWorld. This short video presents a snapshot of partner announcements regarding the Intel® Distribution for Apache Hadoop*, breakthrough performance benchmarks for Intel processors, and cameos from executives at Intel and Cisco.

One of the highlights of Oracle OpenWorld was the forward-looking keynote address delivered by Doug Fisher, Intel Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Software and Services Group. Doug spoke about a new era of innovation and data mining that will drive change to the core of enterprise IT. He also discussed Intel’s strategy to provide technology building blocks and collaborate with partners such as Oracle to provide enterprise-class solutions, including certification of Oracle Big Data Connectors* for the Intel Distribution for Apache Hadoop. Watch highlights of Doug’s keynote, or view the entire speech. It’s a roadmap for what’s coming next for enterprise IT.
