nomura.jpgJapan's Nomura Research Institute, Ltd. (NRI) delivers solutions for finance, logistics, industry, and the public sector. Looking to develop a solution for high-speed, real-time processing of massive volumes of traffic information, Nomura conducted testing to verify the performance of the SAP HANA* in-memory analysis appliance working with a server powered by the Intel® Xeon® processor E7 family. The tests confirmed that 336 million pieces of data from approximately 13,000 taxis could be analyzed in just over one second.

“As the number of users of our service continues to grow, so too does the amount of position and speed data collected,” explained Aritaka Masuda, general manager of the Ubiqlink Department at Nomura. “Accordingly, we must now process this data faster than ever before. We look to the Intel Xeon processor E7 family to deliver ever higher levels of SAP HANA performance as advancements in processor technology are realized.”
