Today’s Azure Stack HCI general availability announcement is the latest milestone in Intel’s co-innovation and shared cloud vision with Microsoft. We’re proud to collaborate with Microsoft in driving the scalable performance, compatibility and compliance that define today’s distributed IT environments and hybrid cloud configurations.

Our two decades of co-innovation with Microsoft continues to raise the standard for datacenter modernization solutions and services. As enterprise IT teams modernize with hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI), Azure Stack HCI enables further integration of compute, storage, networking and virtualization—with all the benefits of cloud services on-prem. Intel supports Azure Stack HCI through a broad set of technologies foundational to scaling, processing and moving workloads. A recent Microsoft and Intel whitepaper found that IT modernization can reduce datacenter footprint by 30% to 60%.

“IT faces demands ranging from managing volumes of data to ensuring that data lives in the locations businesses need. Together with Intel and our joint ecosystem, the broad portfolio from Intel Xeon Scalable processors to Intel Optane technology is the bedrock of our solutions for these challenges. Azure Stack HCI on Intel puts performance where you need it, with linear scalability, optimal uptime, and trusted security compliance.”

-Talal Alqinawi, Microsoft Senior Director of Azure Marketing
