The New 10th Gen Intel Core vPro Processors Are Here
With more people around the world working remotely than ever before, the demands of IT and end users are growing in volume and complexity. As a trusted partner to IT, we at Intel understand what is needed to deliver truly amazing experiences to users, whether they are in the office or at home. We have been building commercial PC know-how for over a decade, anticipating workplace trends, and listening to our customers to engineer a platform that is truly built for business. With the Intel vPro® platform, we deliver the business-class performance, built-in security features, modern, remote manageability and stable platforms to help companies not only stay up and running during this difficult time, but really thrive.
It’s against this backdrop that we are incredibly excited to bring the new 10th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors to market. The Intel vPro® platform is the only truly integrated platform. We work closely with our ecosystem partners to validate and test systems so that all the components work seamlessly together to deliver optimized business user experiences that aren’t available anywhere else. Normally we would gather together to discuss the new innovations these processors bring to the platform, but given the circumstances, we’ve moved our discussion to an on-demand webinar.
We’re particularly excited to share more about the Intel vPro platform’s built-in security, fast, reliable connectivity, powerful remote manageability, business-class performance and supply chain validation.
Built-in Business Security
With so many people working outside the corporate firewall, there’s an urgent need to increase security. We continue to innovate Intel Hardware Shield, which offers built-in platform protection, now with expanded below-the-OS and advanced threat protection features that raise the bar in PC security.
Best Wi-Fi for Video Conferencing [1][3]
No matter where you’re working—whether at home or at the office, or when travel becomes more prevalent again—Wi-Fi connectivity is incredibly important. The Intel vPro platform features integrated Wi-Fi 6, which is the best Wi-Fi technology for video conferencing.[1][3] This means fewer interruptions during video calls—something we can all appreciate.
Powerful Remote Manageability
The need for IT to effectively support workers remotely is also a challenge with an increasingly global and mobile workforce. Intel® Active Management Technology, with the addition of Intel® Endpoint Management Assistance, helps IT diagnose issues and repair them quickly and easily, as well as conduct regular PC maintenance over the cloud, in order to keep end users up and running.
Up to 40% Better Overall Performance[1][2]
Of course we also need high-performance processors to run video calls and all the other applications needed to do our jobs effectively, and the new 10th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processors deliver up to 40% better overall performance[1][2] vs. a 3-year-old laptop.
Engineered for Mobile Performance
Beyond speeds and feeds, we’re particularly excited about the Project Athena innovation program-based commercial laptops that are engineered for mobile performance. These laptops provide rapid responsiveness, worry-free battery life[4][5] and Instant Resume, for a more tailored experience.
Transparent Supply Chain
We are also thrilled to feature innovations like Intel® Transparent Supply Chain, which helps increase security by enabling the traceability and authenticity of PC components from factory to desk.
We can’t do this alone. We’ve collaborated with many of our long-time trusted partners—such as Cisco, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Microsoft—to deliver innovations in connectivity, security, and system design that are essential in today’s world. In the 28-minute on-demand webinar, you’ll hear more about how our partners are using 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processors in the Intel vPro platform to bring exciting new devices and features to market. A few things to look for in the video:
● Key technical innovations built into 10th Gen Intel Core vPro Processors, Michael Nordquist, Sr. Director of Planning, Architecture & Technologies, Business Client Platforms at Intel
● Delivering a best-in-class Wi-Fi 6 experience, Matt McPherson, Wireless CTO at Cisco Systems
● New 10th Gen Intel Core vPro processor-based portfolio of laptops and desktops, Rahul Tikoo, SVP, Commercial Product Group at Dell
