Evo.pngWhen we first introduced the Intel vPro® platform almost 15 years ago, the world – and the workplace – looked quite different. And while we couldn’t imagine how the past year would unfold, it has proven that the Intel vPro platform was designed exactly for this moment. Our nearly 15 years of insights and feedback from our broad set of global customers, enabled us to build the Intel vPro platform uniquely and directly to meet the needs of businesses worldwide.

Today, I am thrilled to announce the 11th Gen Intel vPro® platform, building on that rich tradition of solving for IT pain points and now, evolved to meet the needs of employees. This platform rises above all imitators – the 11th Gen Intel vPro platform delivers the highest performance and world’s most comprehensive hardware-based security[1] for business. And in parallel, the Intel vPro platform continues to bring the remote manageability and stability also so critical to IT.

New 11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® processor performance: Meeting the demands of a varied workforce

11th Gen Intel® Core™ vPro® i7 processor is the world’s best business mobile processor[2]. Our 11th Gen CPU performance, discrete-level graphics and amazing AI acceleration are the world’s best for productivity, collaboration and content creation for business[3] – meeting the demands of a varied workforce working remotely or in the office.

Devices powered by the latest Intel vPro platform include Intel® Wi-Fi 6/6E (Gig+)– the greatest leap in Wi-Fi technology in 20 years.

New Intel Wi-Fi 6/6E (Gig+) enables up to 6X faster speeds at the office and nearly 3X faster speeds at home than standard Wi-Fi 5[4] so employees get fast gigabit speed connections to work from anywhere and enjoy a premium experience with a reliable connection. The powerful connection supports the most bandwidth-demanding apps like videoconferencing or content sharing (which we are all using much more frequently these days)!

I am pleased to partner with industry leaders like Cisco to enable this innovation.

“We’re thrilled to build on our longstanding partnership with Intel to deliver next generation Wi-Fi solutions. As networking innovation continues to accelerate across the industry, it is partnerships like ours that allow customers to confidently embrace the latest and greatest technology,” says Matt MacPherson, Wireless CTO at Cisco. “With the release of the 6 GHz spectrum and Intel’s new 11th Gen vPro platforms, Wi-Fi 6E is now available to the masses. We’re excited about the faster speeds, lower delay, and higher-density capabilities that enable a new wave of applications and use cases for businesses and their users”.

These new devices will also feature the reliability and performance of Thunderbolt™ 4 ports and the responsive multitasking abilities of Intel® Optane™ memory H20 with SSD, allowing business users get more work done faster.

11th Gen Intel vPro® platform security: Comprehensive security for business

At Intel, we make exceptional security possible – yesterday, today and tomorrow. Security starts with Intel – it’s in our DNA – and the 11th Gen Intel vPro platform continues to raise the bar on hardware-based security for business.

We introduced Intel® Hardware Shield on 8th Gen Intel vPro platforms and have continued to expand the value with subsequent generations. It provides integrated hardware-based PC protection for more secure business productivity including below-the-OS-security, application and data security, and advanced threat detection.

On 11th Gen Intel vPro platforms, Intel Hardware Shield provides the world’s most comprehensive hardware-based security solution to protect your business[5]. With 11th Gen, our Intel engineers invented ground-breaking technology to help shut down an entire class of attacks that long evaded software-only solutions[6]. Additionally, only Intel delivers the industry’s first silicon-enabled AI threat detection to help stop ransomware and crypto-mining attacks[7].

Many IT managers are now supporting not one office, but thousands of tiny offices around the globe. The Intel vPro platform features help IT remotely and securely manage devices, inside and outside the firewall. Intel® Active Management Technology is the only solution with remote remediation to return your PCs to a known good state, no matter where your employees are working – even when the OS is down[8].

Intel® Evo™ vPro® platform: Built for what IT needs and what users want.

We know that employees want beautiful, modern, and highly functional devices. And IT is increasingly asked to exceed user expectations. That’s why I am thrilled to launch Intel® Evo™ vPro® platform-based laptops, the best thin and light laptop experience for business[9].

This integrated, built-for-business PC platform delivers the latest technologies in one validated solution built to provide what IT needs. It brings together business-class performance, hardware-enhanced security features, superior remote manageability, and PC fleet stability. It’s all the things IT needs a PC to be.

For employees, the Intel Evo vPro platform powers stylish, thin and light laptops designed to deliver remarkable responsiveness. These laptops feature beautiful displays, simple and reliable connectivity with integrated Thunderbolt™ 4 technology, instant wake and long real-world battery life.

The Power of Partnership

To enable these amazing experiences, we collaborate closely with a variety of industry partners. From OEMs and ODMs to MSP and ISVs, the richness of our ecosystem partnerships is what makes Intel uniquely able to serve changing business needs.

We partner with device manufacturers on everything from engineering to marketing to ensure seamless execution on new devices based on the Intel vPro, including bringing the innovation of the Intel Evo vPro platform to life. We work with channel partners who manage IT shops with the Intel vPro platform all over the world and integrate our technology into their solution, providing a better experience for their customers. And working with software vendors to optimize their application power experiences like enhanced collaboration and improved security.

Over the next several months, you can expect to see beautiful new devices, more app optimizations, and strong collaboration to exceed the needs of IT and end users.

Intel is also releasing 11th Gen Intel Core vPro processors for Internet of Things market, for uses where remote manageability is needed, such as point of sale terminals, digital signage, kiosks, etc. Check out the and the Intel Solutions Marketplace for partner solutions.

We could not have predicted the current work environment with so much of the workforce being completely remote. However, we have been thinking about the future of work for over a decade and envisioning a landscape where location is irrelevant, employee needs are paramount, and IT and users can work confidently on their device from anywhere. With the launch the of the 11th Gen Intel vPro platform, we proudly build on our rich history, deep insights, and strong ecosystem of partners to bring that vision to life for IT managers today.
