Intel Technologies Teams with IBM to Help Enterprises Manage Hybrid Cloud Workloads

It’s an exciting time for Intel, with the announcement of our work with IBM around its launch of IBM Cloud Satellite. This latest step in our four decades of collaboration with IBM reaches beyond defining enterprise IT to co-innovate optimized, cohesive solutions for managing today’s multifaceted cloud ecosystem.

This current phase of our work with IBM embraces an open ecosystem driving innovation for workloads running where you need them with performance and security. Both IBM Cloud Satellite and IBM Cloud for Telecommunications, which was launched in November, can run on Intel architecture across hybrid cloud configurations.

1. IBM Cloud Satellite with Intel technologies

2. Intel Technologies Commits to Join IBM Cloud for Telecommunications Ecosystem

In November, Intel committed to join IBM’s ecosystem of partners supporting the IBM Cloud for Telecommunications, an open, hybrid cloud architecture designed to accelerate business transformation with the power of edge and 5G and address the unique requirements of operators, partner ecosystems and their enterprise clients.

The IBM Cloud for Telecommunications is engineered to integrate advanced AI and automation processes at the edge and speeds services deployment and simultaneously reducing overall costs. With an open, container-based architecture managed as a service, designed so that operators and their providers will be able to easily integrate, automate and orchestrate how they run network and IT workloads in any environment—on any cloud, on premises or at the edge. The platform leverages IBM's encryption capabilities utilizing the industry’s highest level of cryptographic key encryption like Keep Your Own Key (KYOK), giving clients full control of their data.1

As with any great collaboration, the best is yet to come, and we believe that Intel is poised to explode with innovation as 5G proliferates.

1 Based on IBM Hyper Protect Crypto Service, the only public-cloud enabled FIPS 140-2 Level 4-certified Hardware Security Module (HSM). FIPS 140-2 Security Level 4 provides the highest level of security defined in this standard. In her "spare" time, she is the lead singer of the funk and soul band, Sinister Dexter, and enjoys her passion of dance and choreography.
