Intel is The Foundation of Innovation and Transformation Across Data Center, Internet of Things, and Client Computing

Hyper-converged infrastructure has been a topic for years in the data center industry, with a robust market finally coming to fruition.

The industry transition towards open source has created new platforms that better meet the needs of IT managers chartered with providing flexible and secure solutions. The hyper-converged offerings of today are not only providing integration of compute, storage, networking, and software but doing it with the latest virtualization services and automated provisioning.

I’m going to be addressing this topic in my session “Hyper-Convergence – Pathway to the Agile and Efficient Data Center” at Dell EMC World and invite you to join me on Monday, May 8 at 1:30 p.m. in Palazzo M.

Intel has been providing the technology at the core of this burgeoning market since the beginning. We will discuss how Intel technologies, including Intel® Xeon® processors, Intel® Ethernet technology, and Intel® Solid State Drives, are helping drive more agile, efficient data centers.

In addition to discussing hyper-converged infrastructure and data center transformation, Intel will be highlighting technologies across topics, including:

  • Data is the New Oil – The next billion dollar business will come from data drawn from the devices which already exist today. This requires a level of intelligence which did not exist when these devices were originally created. Dell EMC and Intel are working together to provide an open, secure, and scalable solution to pull information from everyday machines. Together we engage with a diverse ecosystem of data center, storage, and edge computing companies to deliver specialized applications and analytics to this Internet of Things market opportunity. Richard Lisa, Sales Director, Internet of Things, Intel will lead this discussion on Tuesday, May 9 at 12:00 p.m. in Room Lando 4203.
  • Intel Offers New Levels of Productivity, Collaboration, and Manageability to Power a Modern Workplace – Digital transformation is sparking new business models and opportunities for organizations of all sizes. Learn how Intel is helping businesses usher in digital transformation by building new ways to advance productivity and collaboration while arming IT with solutions to effectively manage PCs to drive down costs. Chad Constant, General Manager of Business Client Sales, Sales and Marketing Group, Intel will highlight this technology on Wednesday, May 10 at 3:00 p.m. in Room Lido 3001A.
  • Realize Your Digital Future – Diane Bryant, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Data Center Group, Intel, will join Michael Dell, Chairman and CEO, Dell Technologies, and David Gould, President, Dell EMC, to discuss the future of the data center and the impact of digital transformation on IT. Ultimately, the data center will embrace architectures that are scale-out, cloud-enabled, trusted, and software-defined. This general session on Monday, May 8 at 10:00 a.m. promises an appearance by illusionist David Blaine.

Please join us at the show, and let me know if you want to talk further about Intel’s data center vision – I’m @jakesmithintel.
