When it comes to wireless, consumers demand speed and quality. With devices ranging from PCs to wearables, the customer’s expectations of what they can accomplish and the speed they can accomplish it in are growing at a rapid pace.
In 2013, Intel launched their first LTE solution, Intel® XMM™ 7160. This technology put Intel on the map as a key player in wireless technologies. But a year later, Aicha Evans, VP of Intel Architecture Group and GM of Wireless Platform Research and Development Group, will be one of the first to tell you that Intel’s job is not done. In order to keep meeting and exceeding the needs of the consumer, Intel must continue to innovate for the future of wireless.
In the interview below, Aicha looks back at the “labor of love” that went into Intel® XMM™ 7160 and examines Intel’s next steps as they increase their leadership role within the field of wireless technologies.
