The Smart Meeting Room: Intel Unite and HP Elite Slice Make it a Reality

The definition of the workspace continues to evolve. Research shows employees have a strong desire to work in a smart office with cutting-edge technology and a modern look and feel. Millennials continue to push this trend and are even basing their job decisions on whether or not a company can deliver this. It’s clear that the companies that prioritize offering the best and most sleek productivity tools in a modern office environment attract the best talent.

By far, the best productivity tool is a modern business PC. New business PCs have incredible new designs offering a broader spectrum of choice than ever before. We also now have the ability to tailor the PC device to the individual worker’s tasks. Our 6th generation launch of our Intel® Core™ vPro™ processor signified an inflection of this new breadth of innovation where we saw unprecedented devices specifically designed for business. HP is a great example of delivering this innovation with their HP EliteBook Folio G1 winning best-in-class for a business laptop. Take a look at HP Products at CES 2016 on the HP® Official Site.

Today HP reached another milestone that we’re excited to help celebrate with the launch of their HP Elite Slice, a new business desktop with clean modular lines and beautiful finishes, personifying modern. Learn more here: www.hp.com/go/Slice

As the workplace changes so does employee collaboration. With a more mobile workforce and a more open office environment taking hold, the need for smart and connected meeting or huddle rooms is growing in importance. Employees need these meeting spaces to collaborate without disruption while also enabling remote employees to easily and fully participate. Intel® Unite™ continues to be our solution to make these meeting rooms smart and connected.

We’re continuing to drive this innovation with our partners and we’re pleased that as part of the HP Elite Slice portfolio, it will include HP Elite Slice for Meeting Rooms, a conference room solution designed for a one-touch meeting start that takes advantage of Intel Unite to facilitate the most efficient and productive meetings possible.

As employees continue to judge their work environment based on the tools they’re given, there’s no excuse not to provide a modern PC with more innovation and choice than ever before.
